We are saddened to hear and report that Janet Kigusiuq, renowned graphic and textile artist from Baker Lake, passed away on February 27, 2005. Her artwork intrigued and informed those who viewed them, while her smile and quick wit enchanted and warmed the space around her. We have been fortunate to have featured her artwork in our last two exhibitions, and were honoured to have her attend the opening of our Summer 2004 show Arctic Visions. She will be greatly missed.
